The end of summer is a great time to be in West End Richmond. From beautiful garden displays to fireworks, there is plenty going on this weekend.

  • Bill Kirchen will be playing at The Tin Pan this Friday night at 8 pm. The show will start at 8 pm and tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
  • Take a tour along the James on your bike at the Along the James Bicycle Tour. Jump on a tour at 10 am or 2 pm this Saturday. The ride starts at the Frist Freedom Center and the price is $40.
  • Visit the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden for Butterflies Live  this weekend.  The garden is open from 9 am to 5 pm and admission is $13 for adults, $8 children ages 3-12 and free for children under the age of 3. This is a great way to spend a day with the kids. There is also a lego nature display on right now throughout the gardens.
  • The Super Blast fireworks and star wars night will be hosted by the Richmond Flying Squirrels this Saturday night. Come and catch the Flying Squirrels take on the Altoona Curve starting at 6 pm. Join the team for the dark side and stick around for some fireworks afterwards.
